Done for now! Waiting for some more led’s to arrive, then I’ll finalize the lighting and do some wire management.
Didnt have any 10mm led’s on hand for the headlights, so i prrinted some adapters to fit 5mm LED’s in the hole. Also made some rock light mounts for the rear of the truck, but waiting on led’s to make the light housings.
I did have some cheapo amazon rock lights (
trx4 style housing), but sure enough, after spending way too much time making a nice wiring harness for them, i plugged them in and two burned out immediately, and two were only running half power. Two in the front work fine. Once my 5mm LED’s arrive, ill just make my own housings to suit them.
Trimmed the fenders a bit, and put a 3mm bump stop on the shock shaft to try and minimize the tire rub at full bump/articulation.
Set all the servo endpoints etc. everything rins and shifts smooth. Running dig on ch4 and overdrive on ch5 of my
flysky gt5. Managed to get the dig setup 3 positions, which i struggled with when i set my capra up.
So with both shift servos setup as 3position, i have 4wd min OD, 4wd max OD, RWD, FWD, and front dig.
Also learned that a guy should refrain from applying window decals after several whiskey’s on new years eve haha. They turned out ok, but definitely not perfect!
