With your insurance, it's not going to get much cheaper than with a truck like that, unless you go with an older full size pickup. However, there are some things that you can do to GREATLY reduce your insurance premium.
First is don't get any tickets. It's really easy to not get a ticket, I haven't had one in over three years. However, between the time I was 16 and 18, I was issued 34 tickets. That doesn't count all the warnings I got. And it was because I was doing stupid stuff mostly, and when you drive a hot rod and get pulled over for speeding or something, then they start writing and dont want to stop. Illegal exhaust, excessive noice, lowrider suspension, not enough suspension travel, adjustable suspension (they shouldn't have told me I needed more suspension travel lol)
2nd, just show your insurance agent your report card with honor roll on it, as well as your driver's education certificate. I'm sure that right there will knock down 20% or close to it. When I started driving, I had enough good things going that my insurance was very cheap. However, once the record started catching up with me, at one point I was paying $680 a month in insurance, and that could have financed another car in itself. Man, if I only I knew then what I know now. For one thing, I wouldn't have done nearly as much driving because I would have gone to class a lot more.
