I'm new i own a t-maxx 3.3 had it about a week broke it in per traxxas dvd the very next day i ran into a tree at like a 100 mph broke three suspension pins two lower control arms and one upper pop the tops on two shocks.i got new parts from fast lane aluminum pushed by my locale hobby shop hope they are good. i also got traxxas bigbore shocks.i was up all night cleaning and figureing out how everything went back together.i went to my first race today i did not run but i am already cosidering a new engine and chassis. this is my question AM I ADDICTED? DO I HAVE A PROBLEM? :\

LOL!
It is all part of the hobby man, You either love it or hate it. And it looks like your hooked :D Congrats on your new drug of choice (NITRO). hehehe

Congrats on the new maxx....welcome to the addication

I really need to get my 4908 back together

Welcome to the forum and welcome to the hobby. I suggest racing your truck a couple times before you consider putting a new mill (engine) in it. The 3.3 is a pretty proven winner on the racetrack.

No need for a new mill. You hit the tree at 100mph with your current mill. How much faster do you need to go?;)

Welcome to the hobby and congratulations on your rig. I wouldnt worry about a new mil as previously stated by the others. Get used to your rig. racing isnt always about the faster truck. You have to be able to know your trucks limits, how it handles, what does it do in the turns, how to adjust your tire tracking, what tracking is best for the particular course your running on. A lot of racing, from what I've seen, is the ability to handle your rig on a course without rolling, flipping, or running off the track. You also have to be able to negotiate jumps as well as learning how to land correctly. There is also clutch bell and spur gear teeth. There are a lot of combinations that give you speed and torque. Some combos give you a little of both. You have to know what works in your truck for certain courses as well. I would suggest using one truck for racing and get another one for bashing and put all your "fast enough to total your rig out stuff" on that truck and bash with your friends. That just my opinion though

Hey I say get a new one and send that one my way... That 3.3 would really wake my maxx up, i think it would be a vast I mean fast improvement over my M16!!! LOL

Thats a decent buy for the revo. I think that youll be happy with it. If your local track has a Monster Truck class, you may wanna consider racing the revo. It will out handle the Tmaxx I'm almost sure of it. The DX3R is a awesome radio. I have the DX3S and I absolutely love it. The R model has a lot of other options on it that would have only confused me but you can put 30 rigs on it. Good luck with your new hobby. Its a helluva addiction..:hehe::hehe:
