I've been thinking about this for a while and fancy getting this:

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMYA2&P=7

I'm not a huge fan of the rotostart, the stock transmiter or servos. I plan to drop in 2x Airtronic servos (one digital and the 200lbs/in for steering) and a Spektrum DSM Pro receiver.

I'm more familiar with 1/8th buggies (inferno/mugen) so here are my questions:

a) I've seen some impressive hop-ups n' roll cages etc, what would you recommend?

b) Are they any cradock setups for the Savage?

c) What are the 'must do' hop-ups n' mods - i.e. reverse, gear boxes?

Budget - I don't plan on getting this *right* now as I've just got a Mugen Prospec, but it also gives me time to research this further and decide on what hop-ups I want to get, after reviewing any comments/advice :)

Cheers, Mike

Well I guess not. I blame Bob (parag0n) for pointing me to a thread by racer_38 and I just picked up

Should arrive by the end of the week :D

I'm with Olds on the MS filter, otherwise it looks it has some very nice hop ups already.

Well, if you're going to blame me for buying it, i'll nick it :P

I miss bashing my savage, need to get it out again, only problem is every time i use it i add £100 worth of hopups!

Heh. Rick has confirmed that he shipped it 9am today (US time) and I should have it by Friday :-o

I'm sure there'll be loads of stuff in it you can have so you might not have to hop it up as much ;)
