My First Accident

Well when I joined the site not too long again I told ya that I was in a head on collision.. I now have a few pics from the crash to share with you. I am truly lucky to be alive.. here are the pics..





All I got as a result of the crash was a shattered left foot.. Ankle was ok but everything else splintered. A few plates and screws and an external frame to keep my foot the correct size and I'm making a good recovery soo far..:breakdown

I was coming home for christmas.. Dec 22/05 and this guy hydroplaned and crossed the center median and hit me head on.. We were both travelling a 110 kms so thats what 65 miles an hour...I was stuck in bed for like 4 months straight.

The other guy was driving a mid-late 90's chev pickup.. might have been a long box extended cab.

Yep...but because I was working and he was working there is no ICBC (insurance claim) settlement.. It now becomes a work place accident and its covered by the Workers Compensation Board...No big payout for all my troubles..

Glad that you are alive! That looks as bad as when I got into a head wreck in my 240SX head on into an Isuzu trooper. My 240 was lowered. It basically ran me over. I was blessed and so are you. That looks pretty bad.

It sucked thats for sure..I had two surgeries and was told I had a 10 percent chance to walk assisted.. ( with a walker or a cane). I've been doin physio now for a few months and I can walk un-assisted so I'm pretty happy..Still a long road yet but I am getting better

Oh and I forgot to add that the insurance company repaired the truck at a price of $72,000 canadian.. I dont know what the trucks are made of but it must be gold.
