Hey Guys,

I know fathers day is not until Sunday, but since my stepson will be with his father on Sunday, he decided to give me my present a couple of days early. I am not even really a father, I am just his stepdad. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy. He really is a great kid, and the present he got me was all his idea. I tell you guys, kids have a way of really making your day. He thought it was something I would enjoy, and believe you me I will. Anyway, you guys have a great day.

Those things are awesome. He did a great job all on his own. No doubt that must leave you with a great feeling. Good job, Tom.

Thats a cool gift. You will have a blast with this helicopter!
My cat goes ballistic over it, and more than one he's wiped it out of the air.
Enjoy the thing & your stepson, for me this gift would say a lot!

Thanks guys,

I have not had a chance to fly it yet. I put in on charge and then got caught up in the honey do list.

Yeah I think it is an awsome gift. I can't wait to give it a shout. My stepson knows I like RC and he thought I would like this. It definitely makes me feel special that's for sure.

Now I have something to chase the cats around! LOL

I noticed after a short while that the charge lets it fly maybe 6 minutes and the charge doesn't take longer than 20 minutes with a fresh pack of batteries. Unfortunatley cats and dogs figure out that these little buggers are of not much danger to them and start chasing the chaser. Then, and only then your flying skill matters... LOL.
My flying skill never stood up to two stretched paws and a neat jump... so i had my share of "hard" landings.
Have fun... and don't land on the dinner.

Congrats Tom, as the others have said, those little buggers are a blast! I found that by putting a thumb tack in the nose (careful not to puncture the pack) helps with forward motion. You may have to play with positioning for a bit, but it does help!

Congrats again! Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Nice....I am hoping for a Blade CX2....but with vacation coming up I probably get Rocket kits instead.....either way I get to play with my kids which is the point!!

we have those heli's at work at dave and busters under a different name though. I hate those (not in a bad way), because they are definitely addictive once you pick up the radio/controller and fly it around. definitely worth the money! enjoy

RobMob and I have units close to that. We spent MANY hours figuring them out and flying them around. LOL Two guys stuck in one hotel room, All I can say is we both came out of it with MANY hours of flying time.

They are a gas!

I tell ya, this year, for Father's Day, all I'd really like is to do nothing; no yard work, no fixing something, no anything. I'd like to take my son and maybe burn a little nitro, take the kids to the pool and splash around for a bit, maybe wash the Harley then have a nice cookout with some steak and shrimp!

'Course, if the kids happen to stumble upon a basic dough nut compressor to take to the track, I'll accept that with open arms!

Ah, come on fellas! No one wants to hear about you two flying your "units" around in a hotel room for MANY hours! Geez, I'm going to have nightmares about you two playing with your "units"!

For awhile, my unit was working much better than his unit for some reason. Then he got the hang of his unit and it was working perfect. It even seemed to have more stamina than my unit.:(

I still play with my unit on occasion. Load of fun.

HAhahah what the hell hahahah i thought this was a faters day thread but now its a unit packin thread lol. I still dont know what to get my dad? :\ And it certinally wont be anyting to do with rc thats for shure he made that verry clear.

I'm glad they didn't make a video of them flying their "units" around their hotel room.

Spilled my margarita........too funny.

I suggest what you did with or learned about your units in that hotel room, ......needs to stay in that hotel room...nuff said..

Great gift Tom. Happy Father's Day.

I would like to do that kick back do nothing thing too Monkey. Maybe, I'll at least get a little "grill" time in, maybe spend some time with grandkids.
