OK, point blank.
Can you even install wireless in a machine running Windows 98? I have a wireless router and it's configured and running fine on my XP machine. I installed the wireless PCI card into the other machine running Win98 and it's been nothing short of a pain in the ass since the moment I turned it on. The network monitor shows that the card appears to be detecting the router. But that's about it. If I open IE, it shows no communication. I just don't get it.

Second ed.

I have no clue what to do. I went into the network config stuff and deleted everything (like Client for Windows Network, the adapter, the TCP/IP config and stuff) and then let Windows reinstall it all and it's still not working. I'm stumped.

So, it's coming up in the device manager, and not showing anything wrong there, right?

Do you have the proprietary software installed?

Does the software see the adapter?

Did you let the Network wizard create a connection?r are you anually doing it?
