My carb is leaking

My picco max JL red Dot carb is leaking, I just finished break in and noticed the temps spiking. It's leaking where the carb slides into the case (the proper o-rings are there) and also at the LSN slide. Can I buy some type up sealer at the hardware store?

I need to get this fixed in the next 2 days

get some permatex, #2 for-a gasket sealant, item #80016. get it at advance auto. NOTE this is NOT an RTV. i dont like RTV.. take all fuel lines off, and the air filter, undo the linkage. undo the bolt, but dont take it out, just loose. slide the carb out put a SMALL amount of #2 at the flange, very small amount. then slide it back in, and let it sit for 5-10 min, then put it all back together. NOTE: most people like RTV. if you like RTV thats ok but i like #2. i am not going to bad mouth RTV.

Ok what's the flange? Do I need to take the carb boot off? I live in Canada so we dOnt have advance auto. If they don't have permtrx what would my second option be for sealer?

i called the flange the flat of the carb sets on the engine body. you can use RTV, it will work. any good auto parts house will have it. the carb bolt is small, dont over tighten it. some people use a small amount of sealer under the bolt nut. dont forget to use small amount of sealer.

permatex is easy to find..you need something that is for high temp. ...just go to home hardware or canadian tire ..I'm sure you will find some ..i got my rtv at home hardware

Ok I I picked up some RTV and just finished sealing it up. Ill give her a go tomorrow. Thanks guys
