My 36G freshwater...

i have a 55gal, with an angle, and about 12 other fish. i have a black, red fin shark, and had an albino one but it jumped out!

the black shark was about 7 bux, and the albino was more like 14.

Do something stupid like I did. My buddy had a bunch of baby black convict cichlids, and he gave me two. Not realizing just how aggressive they were, I put them in with my community fish in a 10g, while I prepared to get a larger tank for them. After one day, a fish that was larger than the convicts was gone. A couple days later, I was missing the other EIGHT fish that were already in the tank. About a week after, I had one convict left that was growing fast, and I moved him into a 55g, where he lived a long, happy, live food eating life.

Also never get red bellied newts. Took me months to figure out where they had dried up at.

The filter stopped... I have to go to petco today to get a new one lol.

That sounds dandy. What kind you gettin? I have an aquaclear 50 on my 20 and it works wonders. Lets just say tank never gets foggy.

from looking at youtube, those emperor id sharks look crazy

Something tells me I am gonna have problems with this one...

BTW--Brandon: This is my 30 gallon aquarium. I am running two AquaClear filters on it, one 30 and one 50. I have a fairly high bio-load what with having a 12" Pleco in there. That equates to filtering 300 GPH (Max Output--106 nominal) if you trust Hagen's specs. Hope you got a big one!!!

I have the same problem with loaches. One day one will just vanish. Damn things--why would you want to jump outta the tank???

Which kind of loach? I've had khulies for about 3 weeks now and have seen them out of the gravel fully maybe twice, but I do see teir talespoke out sometimes.

I like clown loaches. Great to keep snails at bay. People that are not in the know consider snails to be a bad thing, but actually they are a sign of a good fish enjoyment. If you don't have snails something is wrong! So, since the snails become a problem REAL quick, I keep two clown loaches around at all times. They don't burrow in the gravel like khulies and are quite active swimmers. And, they love playing with my red tail...

I have 2 khulis they are cool. When they come out lol. Your right about the snails. I have a crap load in my tank but they arent hurting anything lol.

I never introduced snails into my tank, and i made sure all my plants were snailless. I did not want a snail infestation. I most likely would have gotten a clown loach if they didnt get like 8 inches long. They're cool though. I really want to go saltwater now.

I figure $5,000 to set up what I want. Of course the most expensive parts are the live rock and live sand, followed by inverts and corals, tank and equipment, and finally the fish. Well, I have a 55 so that cuts that expense...
