Well my 36G was cycled and ready for fish so I added 2 dwarf guramis and a male and female fiddler crab. The kid wouldn't let me leave the store without them.

Oh and a random plant of some kind haha hope it lives....

Couldn't find the female crab she hides under the rocks.

I didn't realize that fiddler crabs could live in fresh water.

Nice looking tank. I had an 80 gallon fresh water tank back in college with some sick killer fish in it. An Aruana, a school of Tiger Barbs, a red and blue fresh water crawfish, and I think a Jack Dempsey and Red Devil. They all ate live food, either gold fish or crickets. We'd have to get 100 gold fish a week. Dump them all in and watch the carnage. Good times.

lol ya honestly thats way to many fish for a 80 gallon but they will live.

They are freshwater fiddler crabs.

thats cool man,
on the subject of fish tanks, is there a shark that i can get for an 80 gallon tank????, i really want a shark and so does the wife and i can't find anything about one

a shark like freshwater or salt?

You can get a balla shark or a black tip shark. They dont look like sharks really though lol. Those are freshwater by the way. I really like the pictus catfish and you can put several of those in a 80 gallon.

Get a red tailed black shark. They are absolutely FLAT black, and when they come out of hiding the tail is almost clear, but when they cruise around in the light the tail becomes bright red. There's a white tip on top of their dorsal fin. They look like sharks, they move like sharks, yet they are the coolest, most gentle fish in the tank.
Just one per tank.

I don't remember. I had my tanks back in the seventies. I never spent a lot of money on them, but I know he was the most expensive one I had. At the time, I know he was under $10.

oh well that aint bad then, i was thinking he was gonna be more than that, thanx again

He cost that in the 70's. I don't know what they go for today, but if I set up another tank, it would be the first fish on my list.

its called a kuhli loach. Its considered a fish not a eel. Looks like a eel to me though lol I guess they are pretty fun to watch.

I also want to add a couple of these...

At feeding time the Angel fish can be VERY aggressive to smaller fish. A lot of my Neons and Cardinals had nipped and missing fins because of them. I removed them by baiting them with food, then putting a CO2 pellet twixt their eyes. :D

I don't know how I missed this a while back. How's the tank coming along? I currently have 2 angels that have quadrupled in size since I got them, 3 blackskirt tetras, 2 khuli loaches, and 1 Highfin Pleco.

Have your crabs gone missing yet? Ours did I thought I had the tank sealed good enough but I found one 2 years later when I was cleaning out the duct work.
