It's not much to look at, but it will get me on the water. Runs good, and rides smooth. It is a 1986 Bass Tracker Tournament. 17 ft with a 40 horse Johnson, trolling motor, two fish finders, new fuel tank, and lines. It also came with a few bonus items, because the guy didn't want to clean it out. Works for me. It came with two reels (nothing fancy), a tackle box full of rubber, four adult life jackets, a kids life jacket, two ancers, and a few other things.

I took it out on the water to test it out with two year old tags, and it never fails with my luck that with in the ten minutes I was out there the man was at the ramp when I got back. He was cool though. I told him I just bought it, and wanted to make shure it didn't sink before the seller cashed my check, and he let me go. Shuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!

Good luck on your search. I give $2300 for this one. Others I found around here F/S that were comparable were $3500-$5000, so I think I got a pretty good deal.

I really want some thing that I can take out in the bay and fish from..and one that I can ski behind..Like a 18 to 20 foot bayliner

That would also take more than the 40 horse motor I have.

I have a 14 foot bass setup.
Go through it with a fine tooth comb from stem to stern. There is nothing worse then being stuck on the watter.

Don't even think twice, replace the bilge pump, both batteries, buddy bearings, hull plug, gear lube, and spark plugs. If you don't have a second battery for the trolling motor, get one. Also make sure the pull start is usable. Check the rectifier as well.

Aluminum boats leek. Doesn't matter how new they are. Don't let that freak you out. Go to the lake during the week when you can have the dock to yourself and practice manovering the boat at low speeds. Its not easy until you get the hang of it. Over 80% of accidents happen within 20 yards of the ramp.

Go to a big parking lot and practice backing that puppy up till you get it right. This is something you will need to know, and know well. Just today I had to parallel park my boat in a space the size of 1 car. The neighbors were having a party and I had nowhere else to put it. LOL I did it in one try while talking to NCNitro on the cell phone. It needs to be second nature.

If the Bass fishing is any good around you, It will be a blast to have your own rig. Oops, Don't forget to make sure your hitch is proper for the boat tailor you have. Get a GOOD wire plug not a cheesy U-Haul style.

Have fun. My boat is similar to yours If you need any help, let me know.

Wow, Thats a good deal. Nice boat for sure. Them Bass Tracker are really nice, and even nicer to fish from. Be sure to post up some pics of big uns' ya catch in there! (Or any hot chicks ya happen to run into on the lake..lol)

Yeah! That gets me in the mood for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the advise. I have quit a bit of expieriance with trasiloring, but I won't need to do it much after the end of the month. I just bought a house with a boat dock. (two really, but I don't want to brag LOL!) Definatly need to go through the boat, and fix a few things. Bildge pump isn't working, but it did come with two new batteries. The trolling motor only works on 12V no matter what the battery selector is at (1,2, or both). Other than that it seems OK. Might have to check things lick the gear oil. I have alot of expieriance on my uncles boats, but not much with owning one.

Pics will be plentifull I'm sure!

I'm still a rookie at licking the gear oil. Got any advice for me as to what it should taste like? :D

I have mastered rolling it around in between my tounge and the roof of my mouth to check for metal shards. Other then that, I'm lost.

OOPS!!!! LOL! I made the suggestion once of a spell check on here, but then you wouldn't get the amussment of F ups like that. LOL!!!!!!!

My girlfriend and I just bought a 18.5 foot Bayliner Capri with a 205 horse 4.3 liter. it's a 1992 anniversery edition. nice little runabout and it will top out around 50 on the lake. This winter I am gonna do some things to the motor and hoping to get around 250 horse or more all depending on what I do to it.
