I will be receiving my ProSpec in the next day or two.

For those of you who have built this buggy....

Does the ProSpec specific parts just get added to the regular MBX5 kit so you have left over regular parts OR are those parts replaced with the ProSpec parts?

I was looking at Mugen's website and they show a regular manual and then a supplimental ProSpec manual.

I am hoping that they don't keep the regular parts in there. Since I am kinda of new to these top of the line buggies, I don't want to accidently use a regular part and not realize it until many steps later and have to tear down to put the ProSpec part in.

For example, if the regular manual says to use bag# abc, and the ProSpec manual says to use xyz instead, will the kit have both abc & xyz bags to choos from, or will the abc bag be non-exsistant?

Thanks,

Sorry for the newbie question. While am I looking forward to this project of putting this thing together, I don't want to have to repeat the same steps numerous times.

the ProSpec parts replace specific parts in the kit. The only things you might have left over is most likely a nut, or a washer.

Correct. And it might have a third correction sheet. What I would recommend you do is look at the correction sheet, note the steps corrected in the addendum and main manual, and look at the prospec addendum, and note the steps in the main manual. Saves you a bit of time.

No worries about that. But, you will get a bunch of additional camber/caster blocks, for adjustments. One of the added perks of the buggy.

They'll still be labeled as normal, but you'll have a ProSpec bag, and that one will have sub-bags, if memory serves right.

No problem. Just read the manuals before picking up a screwdriver, and make plenty of notes. It helps the build go ice-smooth.

Thanks for the quick response. My kit came in today, so I will be checking everything out when I get home.

If you look at the description for the MBX 5 Prospec (click products on left, then pick MBX5 Prospec) they have small thumbnail images of everything upgraded.

I would link to it, but it is one of those wierd web sites where regardless what you click on, it still shows the same URL in the address bar (so the link won't go exactly where you wanted, just to the general page).
