Mugen has a new truggy

Should be out soon, that's why Tony's Screws doesn't have the long arm kit anymore. Hoping some of the parts will swap over to the MSR conversions.

has wider wheelbase than the ST-R but did you look at those cheezy braces? I hope they change those out to aluminum braces like the X5 has. Those things remind me of the Robotronics rig. It does look pimp though.

I like it, but I gotta feeling its going to be out of my price range. I can see a 1,000.00 easy.

I'm thinking around $700 or less, there is going to be a prospec edition soon, so they have to make it more affordable.

Buggyracer..the quote I was listing, was with motor and radio and some servos. And that's just a guess but I hope your right. They got to keep this stuff down to make it affordable to all.

Ah, yeah that makes sense...

Jetmech, why not the XB8 with the Team Helotes Conversion? Or do you want Xray to get their own complete truggy like Mugen?

Oh, I agree. Putting Tony's long arm kit on the MSR made a huge difference. I really like the Mugen I'm just looking down the road since I have a XB8 and don't see myself trading it for a Mugen.

It does look nice, I would expect nothing less from them!

Yeah, I just picked up a XB8(original version) and will wait for the XRay truggy.

Mugen buggy kits overseas do not come with tires, but the buggy kits in the USA come with ProLine CrimeFighters. When I spoke to Kris Moore at Mugen USA the other day, he said they will be including CrimeFighter MT tires with the kits. He also told me that the Front & Rear shocks are longer.

It looks kind of like a downgrade from the original. It just looks more sporty rtr than thourobred race truck. Also, why not name it the MTX-5 instead of the MBX-5T?

does anyone know if the new mbx5t uses 17mm hubs or 14mm hubs? i just picked up a set of maximizer truggy wheels, but at the moment they do not offer a 14mm to 17mm conversion for the msr... :(
