Set up a new model in the radio, first. Then turn it off. make sure both are off, then reconnect the rx and start the procedure. If nothing works, I'd take it to the LHS and hope someone knows what they're doing.
If it doesn't work at the hobby shop, see if it will bind with one of their receivers. If it does, you'll know what the problem is.

Do you still have the other radio? Will it bind with that one?
I have Spektrum's DX7 and I've never had any issues with binding receivers.

I agree that it sounds like the RX. If you can bind another aircraft to the TX using the listed procedure then it has to be the RX on the mSR.

Got some new news. Went to fly my p-51 and it wasn't bound anymore. I had to rebind it twice before it actually worked. Could be something up with the radio, too?

I hope not, I swore I would never buy another spectrum after my total POS DX3S.... My other option was JR but spec makes them too.....

Maybe not. I may have just accidently tried to bind the msr to the radio with the p-51 memory. At least I hope, we will see eventually I guess.

grgbulldog, can you attach a standard Rx pack to the MSR? I mean does it actually have a Spektrum Rx in it? If so, connect up the Rx pack from one of your nitros and see if the radio works now.

I had a Blade CX3 blow the voltage regulator. On power up it would not bind, it would not arm, it just flashed (Rx light) at me and a flashing red 3-in-1 unit light.

Failed 'brains' is common on EFlite blades, however if you send back the heli to horizon they will most likely fix or replace anything, test fly it and return.
