I'm not sure what you mean by run one? In a vehicle like the e-maxx it would be favorable to run two 2S packs in series for better weight distribution. Or two 4S packs in parallel.

the UBEC is a separate power circuit for the RX and servos right? I thought they also served as a low voltage cutoff for the LiPo packs....or am I totally off the reservation on that?

I just want to have this set up right, My TC4 doesn't have any voltage cuttoff for the pack and it makes the cells go really unbalanced if I run till it starts to show low voltage.....the pack is still good but I just have to be very careful not to run it dead....they just fall off quick once they hit their Low voltage threshold...

The UBEC does not serve as a lipo cutoff. The only thing it does is provide voltage to the receiver and take the load completely off the BEC in the ESC.

According to this chart the Novak HV ESC has lipo cutoff circuitry built in.

With regards to your TC4, pull your car off the track as soon as the pack starts to dump. Lipos do not like to be deep discharged, especially at the end of their discharge cycle. That's an easy way to puff your pack.

O I C.......so it is it's own capacitor that get's juiced from the battery or is it like a constant resistance device.....either way thanks for the esplainin' to me.....

on the TC4, now I don't even let it start to slow down...I just set my controller's timer to 20 min and then take it off...even before that I knew just stop it when it starts to show the first sign of dumping, I just stopped it and walked over to it every time.....it's running a stock motor so I get LONG runtimes on that.....that pack is fine for now it just got really unballanced, my friend has a balancer.....I need to get one of those Thunder Tiger pack balancer things next LHS stop......

The UBEC is a constant resistive device. It is wired directly off the power leads of the ESC.

No need to get the Thunder Tiger Balancer if you are using it to balance the Orion packs. Just make a charge lead yourself with a 4 mm and 2 mm bullet connector. Use the balancing port on the Orion pack and charge each cell individually as 1S.

Man, If I didn't have so many unfinished/need parts vehicles I'd love to have that Lazer, that thing just looks tough! Bump for a good guy!

There is nothing wrong with adding one more unfinished rig to the collection. lol

Last bump, all reasonable offers taken.

Sure do. PM if interested, I'll hook you up.

still have that Feigao 380C? i just got a Tamiya F201, and i think it would make a nice home for it.

Yes I have the 380C. You have a PM.
