I got some free time this afternoon and thought that the ball diamond might just be dryed off, since it quit raning a day or two ago. The last time I ran it was bone dry so I checked the filter, and a good thing I did too, it was choked with fine dust.

Having a limited timeframe to run in, I took the Kyosho filter off and put a spare clean Motor Saver on. At the "track" I had to richen the engine up about 1 complete turn, then dialed it back in about 1/4 turn (3/4 richer total). Then it was set. Seems as though the engine was starved for fuel and air, since after I tuned it again, it started to really impress me. I'd be willing to be that I gained a minimum of around 5K rpm, and the response time dropped, and the total power output jumped. it was also a bit louder too.

All in all, I think I stick with the Motor Saver filter on the Sirio, or any other mill I run.

Were you runnin a pre-filter on the MS? Or did you run it bare. I had a bad expierience with the MS filter. Since then I've been using Mugen 1/8 filters with Ofna pre-foams. Just curios.

By prefilter I assume you mean the outer foam tube. Yes I was/do. Also, there's a trick about covering up the end of the MS so it makes it draw air in around the sylinder and not thru the end.

It a brand of air filter.

OK, thanks, thought maybe it was some kind of foam sleeve that covered the starter motor to keep dust out, that made for a more effective air filter.
