Hi everyone,
I'm completely new to Nitro RC, but it's something I've always wanted to try. So I bought a cheaper beginner model from NitroRCX to see if it was something I wanted to seriously get into. I bought the model below:
http://www.nitrorcx.com/exhyspbeve1s.html
I'm having trouble getting the engine started. Last night I got it started but it was too late at night to run it in my neighborhood. So to turn it off I pinched the fuel line (per instruction manual). Today, I tried for over an hour to get it started and keep it started but I've had no luck. Here is what I do before trying to start it (per instruction manual);
-Remove air filter
-Pull back throttle to open up choke
-Pour a few drops of fuel
-Close throttle and replace air filter
-Place ignitor
-Pull start
The engine will start but only for a second and then stall. It's important to note that if I do not directly put any fuel in the carb then it won't start at all. I've messed around with the needle and that didn't help. I THINK fuel isn't properly flowing (the line is good and not pinched). I put my finger over the exhaust and pulled the cord a couple of times to get the fuel flowing (per instruction manual), but I don't think it's doing anything (it did work last night).
So how can I tell if I have a fuel problem, and if so, how can I fix it?? I don't think it's flooded because the cord isn't hard to pull, plus I've drained it and started over to check. I know the glow plug is good because it turns orange when ignited.
Any help?!?! Thanks!
