motor runs for 1/3 of the tank and shuts off and will not restart until it cools down. I checked the temperture each time and it was only 257 at most. Any idea I'm stumped I hope its not the motor again!

I had this same problem I assumed it was needing a new sleeve and piston so i just bought a new motor on eBay. I'm not for sure that was the problem but I think it was because I tried everything...
How new are you to the hobby? How old is the engine? How much fuel has been through it? What fuel are you running?
Sorry for all the questions, but it's hard to answer a "engine won't run" question without knowing a bit more.
Knee jerk answer says it's lean or has an air leak or both.

its my buddies tmaxx 3.3 the motor is 3-4 weeks old, maybe 25 tanks of traxxas top fuel through it. I don't think its blown because it still has compression when it shuts off I've checked it myself, that's why I'm so confused.
