I just got an Electrifly S-600 for my daughter's Monster Mutt but it doesn't have a flat spot for the pinion. Should I grind a flat spot on the shaft, if so, how? Do I just tape over all of the vents and use my Dremel to grind a spot.

That would be my guess. I'd just try to keep the shavings out of the motor and then after finishing the grind job, I'd blow out the motor with some compressed air.

thats what i had to do with one of my motors. Tape up and dremel away. You only need to do wear the pinion is going to hit and not over 3/4 of the shaft, like what i did then realised that was a waste.
