oK i JUST PURCHASED ONE OF THOSE MOTOR SAVERS AND THE DAMN THING DOESN'T FIT ONT MY ENGINE.iT SAYS IT WILL FIT ONTO A 1/10 ONROAD CAR..WELL i PUT ON A HPI 12RSS ENGINE ONTO MY NTC3 BUT THE FILTER WON'T FIT SECURELY TO MY CARB DUE TO THE IDLE SCEW BEING TOO CLOSE TO THE CARB OUTLET...wHAT THE HECK AM I GOING TO DO NOW?

Can you post a pic of the problem area so I can lend some advise?

I havent had any problems with motor-saver until I went out and tried to put one on the Picco .26. But even now thats fine.

Christian, I just lent my camera out. I will try to get you a pic of my dillema? Did you take a look at my other pposts of dillemas? Thanks

jon2 my 12Rss engine has the motorsaver filter on it, it will fit if you put alittle effort into it, take a look in the gallery?!

hey joneser I took a peek but I can't really tell from the top view of it got any better angles of it on there?

You could bust out the dremel and try dremeling out some of the arm but still I'm not sure if its the actuall filter or the elbow thats in the way. You always could shop around for a longer arm or something that will make the elbow stretch out farther. There are hints in the Tech Info on this site. Try the T-Maxx Cold air intake for some hints on what to use.

I didnt have to make any mods. just push the poop out of it,it will fit i promise, dont twist it down cause you could actually readjust your idle, once its in place for a while you shouldnt have any problems putting it back on cause it will wear a dimple for the idle skrew!

Sorry joneser it is the lbow that can't seem to make it all the way down the carb opening. Thus wil hinder making accurate adjustments!!!

is that recommended sicne the filter changes the ratio?

I havent had any problem with my idle? I just pop the filter off, turn the skrew, pop the filter back on and run it?

Well I am having other problems with the engine; I will have to get back to everyone about this

Adjusting the idle isnt complicated guys! Leaving about a 1-3mm opening will just about do it. For all my vehicles I leave a 2mm opening and it will idle all day if you want.

While not being as scientic as SHK, I do agree, adjusting the idle is no great task. If you want to do it the mook way turn the screw in until it idles and does not die. If you fire it up and it takes off, adjust the idle down a little until the rc does not move at idle.
