Where are you guys getting your motor rebuild kits from ? I love my motor (mugen x12)so if i blow it this summer ( lots of track time ) I would like to rebuild it .

Diver you can chime in at anytime :)

you mugen motor should be novarossi based. in which case you can order your parts through fusion motorsports, ebmods.com, or directly from mugen. you will need piston and sleeve set, con-rod, wristpin, and wristpin retaining clips.

Don't look at me! I see a blown engine as an excuse to get a new one! BUT, a rebuild kit would entail a new piston and sleeve at the very least ... new bearings and shaft may be in the possible rebuild as well. The cost of rebuilding is almost like getting a new engine. What some do is just get the sleeve and piston repinched and then throw it into the toolbox as a backup engine. Hey Remy, you'll be racing at prospeed this summer, right? PM Team17 about being included in the Team RCNT-east coast chapter.

Yes I plan to be at prospeed a whole lot this summer. If I am not at prospeed I will be at E-town raceway with my big car :) I will Pm him in a few minutes.

Thanks for the responses fellas.

Diver & Remy -> Can I run an outlaw .18 motor @ Prospeed and do I need to be a ROAR member?

I also run my "big car" at ETown:

Well no one asked me what motor I had at Prospeed so I dont think they would care . Diver would know better than me.

Also the z06 looks sweet man. I hope to run a bit faster than that this summer in my awd talon. Hope to see you at prospeed and e-town :)

I don't think there's a problem. I was running my Fusion21 there and noone said anything. Just make it known to Jamie (the owner). I think it would only be an issue if it were a trophy race. ROAR membership is not a requirement at prospeed, only a good attitude and fun is required.

Trophy races require .12 engines.

I don't see an issue with the motor but if you start to beat some other guys that are running legal .12 enginesthen it may become an issue a lot of local tracks like to keep the playing field even also in electric @ prospeed everyone ran the same turn motor

I guess I will head down to Prospeed this year to meet up with you guys. I'm only running an RS4 (just built it, mostly for parking lot fun) so you guys should be able to outhandle me.

The Z06 is all stock and I am running stock tires. Look at my MPH, it indicates the capability for a much quicker ET ...

I run at the Corvette Challenge events and I am there fairly often. A schedule can be found HERE
