So I have a Traxxas stampede 2x2. I have done a lot to it and recently put a new motor and esc on it. But the first thing I noticed is that the motor has very low torque and makes a high pitch sound when you pull the throttle past half way or accelerate fast. It won’t pop wheelies like it used to. I have checked the gear mesh and the entire drivetrain but can’t figure out what is wrong. Any suggestions?

If it makes a high pitch sound over half throttle, I would check the 3 tranny gears or spur and pinion. If it is one, it could be your driving style or a bad bearing.

The next think is a loose slipper and or glazed over clutch pads. Remove the nut on the spur and if the 3 pads are glossy, hit them with some sand paper.

What turn or kv is the motor?

Is it so hard to write the 2 or 3 extra words telling which motor and esc you installed?
