Hey guys... I am going to be sodering a motor later and I don't know which pole is positive or negative?
How can I tell if there are no markings on the motor itself?
It is a Speed 300. Help?!?

I am holding a Speed 400 in my hand. There are some plastic / nylon rivets on both sided of the contact posts. On mine one of the rivets is red. This will be the positive side.

Thanks for the info... but it looks like someone was working on this one.. there are just humps where the post use to be and no color... argh!!!

If you can hook power to it, run a quick test on it. It should turn counter clockwise when the power is hooked up correctly.

Thanks.. I was flirting with that Idea but wasn't sure if it would instantly fry the motor... so I was hesitant.. Thanks.. I'll try it...
