my brother has a nitro stampede and it still has the pro 15 motor and it will start until i take off the glow igniter and then it cutsoff.

change the glow plug, I'll bet its shot. Even tho it still glows it may not be glowing hot enough.

Or, the idle is too low. But, it could be too rich or the glow plug could be on its last leg. Wow, that was hard... lol

Check your clutch assembly as you may have a broken spring. The above suggestions are good as well.

sounds like a plug to me ... that'll drive you crazy some times tracking down a problem and here it's just a plug

Change the plug first. If it continues to cut out with a new plug, lean out your LSN 1/8 of a turn.

me and one of my friends had the same problem.. changed plug and runs fine... do that first

i am having the same problem with my rush evo. i have put a new plug in, the springs are not broken, i have leaned it out. what else could be wrong?

What did you lean out? HSN or LSN? Also, how long is your pressure line going from the pipe to the tank? Too short of a line will cause pulsing and tuning issues. What engine, plug and fuel? Also, what's the weather been like? Temperature and humidity.

my pressure line is longer than it was when it came stock but not to much. i have a nitro star t-15, odonnell factory spec fuel specially formulated R2R model engine fuel, McCoy glow plug. i leaned out the hsn. it has been in the 80's and the humidity has not been to bad.

change the plug, its bad. did you recently change the fuel line on the car? there was a bad batch or dubro yellow that got out there and it ruins plugs. i prefer dubro blue line.

I'd be betting needle settings. Drive it with the ignitor on it, then take the temp of it. If the temp is excessively cold, then lean it out till it hits ~230 or so.

how do you know if your engine is overheating? and if so how do you fix it

i have a mammothst

why does truck take off slowly, very slowly

Take the temp with a temp gun. If you don't have one, do the waer test on the head. Boils off right away = too hot. Sits there = too cold. Sits thee for 3 secs and them boils off, you're in the general ball park.

If it was overheating, the head has a "burnt paint" smell. It will also be very hard to start till it cools down.

When the truck takes off what is it doing? Reving high then moving? Or just being a slug in general. It can be either it's too rich, your clutch is bad or your slipper might be too loose.

slipper clutch. I am not familiar with the mammoth, but there usually is a slipper clutch. Read the manual and see what it says in the trouble shooting guide

it doesn't rev up. after it takes off it runs great, what is a slipper

looking for rollcage for mammothst, can't seem to find it anywhere
