Well guys I just picked up the competition package mamba for my rc18mt. I was wondering before i go ahead and soder on the conections(Deans Plugs) I was wondering which end to put where. Male on speed controll or the other way around. Also do you guys think that I should have went for the comp x package instead, I just wanted to make shure that I have alot of low end so I went witht the Comp instead of the X. can't wait to get this sucker rolling.

Male always is on the cold end, or no power end (ESC's). Female always gets the hot end (batteries)

Unless you get the Deans Micro 2R - it's kind of a half-n-half plug. It has a male and female connection. All you have to do is make sure you get your polarity matched.

I think you will find that the 18T is almost uncontrolable with what you have. I think you will be very pleased with the bottom and top end.

Always wire your connectors to your ESC and batteries this way, otherwise you will very likely short your batteries out.

Just remember to ease into the throttle... and it'll still end up on its lid (mine always does).

Ya i can't wait when i get home today I'm going to soder this thing up. I got some Epic batery pack, because they were out of reedys but I'm eventually going to get them. Negitive is red right. I'm just checking because I dont want to have to redo anything on this motor or fry anything.

Actually it does not matter what color wire you use as long as you keep them the same on both ends... however the standard is Red = + Positive, and Black = -Negative.

K so I'm a little pissed. I thought that when you paid 109$ for a motor speed controll you got the speed controll that you can hook to your computer. Well boy was I wrong. So I'm a little pissed I really wanted that feature but o well poop like this is just what happens to me all day long lol.

Enjoy it. I was impressed the first time I drove mine. I thought the thing would take off if it had wings.
