I feel like a retard here guys.
I have been "somewhat" successful covering the Fus, Stab, upright. There are signs of inexperience but I got the job done. Just a small amount of film that wont tighten up all the way and of course a few folds but nothing that will keep it out of the air.

I have now waisted an entire roll trying to cover just the top section of 1 wing. I'm following the directions and purchased the video. I watched it several times as well as put it under my pillow 2 nights in a row. I just can't get it to tighten up evenly and in some places at all.

I'm using the 6 point tacking method then sealing the trailing then leading edges. At this point its all good with no loose spots, folds, or wrinkles. Its almost but not quite tight enough to use at this point. I then place my iron with a heat pad on it over the Mono and slowly glide it over the surface. It tightens up but not evenly leaving large waves in the surface. In some places it seems to expand with heat but not contract.

I played with different temps on the iron then went to my shop and got my heat gun thinking it may need to be heated more evenly and in larger chunks. This made it worse. Its like its expanding instead of contracting.

I know this stuff works!
WTF am I doing wrong?

Was the heat gun plugged in? J/k! I dunno, it has worked right for me before. I just iron it onto the leading edge, wrap it around, and iron it to the top and bottom at the trailing edge. Then just heat gun it tight.

I found my issue.
I was sealing to the ribs then trying to shrink. Its all done now. I'm doing the last of the finishing touches then off to crash it.

BTW.
My LHS has a foam cutting laser table and is producing the Flying Boats now.
Ill post the link to his site as soon as I get it right. I need to call him up.
