if i am right the standard t-maxx tooth pitch is 32, as i am fitting an axial .32 and if i am right if i don't shorten the mount shaft i can fit the flywheel and clutch from a monster gt (supposed to be stronger than the t-maxx one but its mod1 pitch, dues anyone know of a spur gear that will fit the grey cased t-maxx gearbox that is mod1.
If not then i will just shorten the shaft and stay standard 3.3 flywheel/clutch

thanks for any advise

RC Solutions makes the only mod1 spur for the T-Maxx. However, it was for the old 2.5 tranny. I'm not as familiar with how spur mounts to the shaft on the 3.3 tranny.

My friend bought a 3.3 maxx that came stock with a revo style tranny. I'm thinking that the revo has a 1.0 pitch spur gear. Which tranny do you have?

The revo does run a 1M pitch, but I believe that traxxas in their infinite wisdom runs a .8M pitch on the new "revo style trans" t-maxx and jato. Not really sure why they did that...

Yeah, this is the 3.3 maxx stock spur:

That's the same on on the jato 2.5.

And this is what the revo runs:

I could have swore I read about guys running revo spurs/cb's on their jato's... not sure why, but you may try to figure out what will fit for you for gear ratios and just buy a revo spur and 1M CB/flywheel/clutch. I'd start with the spur though... cheap to try, $3.

Thats what I was thinking, you could just put the revo one on there and BAM there ya go.. maybe? Seems kinda short busish to make the Tmaxx and Jato a .8 instead of 1.0. Seems like ppl would like having more universal parts. I was thinking about getting a revo tranny and see if I could get it to mesh up good on my BB maxx. Would save a lot of money on spur gear. The Rc solutions are 22.95 a pop and I have burnt 2 of them. I dont remember y the first one went ourbut, the other one is due to CB bearings taking a giant dump.

Big difference in gearing there between those two pieces. Just another excuse to do the 1:8 diff mod :D

Or, if you're like me you can design custom 1.0 module T-Maxx spur and have a machinest buddy make 'em for ya :)

The other day I was looking at my buddy's BB maxx and i noticed that his spur gear was a stock one. I looked at his CB and its a stock T-maxx. It fit right on a HPI .25 and works well. We had to redo his clutches (they were over a year old) and we put a 3 shoe clutch on there and it works like it should with stock maxx CB and spur gear.

So your buddy is running stock TMaxx spur on a Savage? I didn't know it would match up. As long as the spur teeth and the CB teeth have the same cut it'll be fine.
