I bought a jato 3.3 today and the guy I bought it from had only ran blue thunder 10% nitro. I don't run nitro that low% I use 25% and was wondering if I could mix some of mine and his fuel in a fill bottle and run it since he gave me a whole gallon of fuel and will it hurt anything? If so I will just do a small break in and run my 25% and throw the 10% away.

I wouldn't recommend mixing the fuels. Run what he has open and then run yours with re-tune.

I am with Hamz on this one. I would use it then go with what I normally run. i know I have had that happen in the past. Buy a RC off someone and get the left over fuel then just run it until it's gone. Better than buying more fuel.

No not really but the 3.3 is not lacking in power so it will still be a lot of fun. Step up to 30% later and then it gets really stupid.

I am finishing off what little I have left of my 25% and I'm switching to Byron's 30% for my os .21 in my revo and for my jato.

That is all I used to run when I lived in the states. I can get it here but it is $65 a gallon. Ouch....so i am sticking with the crap-o stuff I have for now.

you could mix them BUT it would be hard to know what % you have , unless you have a hydrometer . coarse i use one for mixing nitro for my self. i dont recommend mixing nitro your self, very few ad vantages to mixing it your self.

The only guy I knew that did it on a normal basis did it because he ran 50% in his boat. He actually did his own fuel oil, nito and Methanol. But then again he knew what he was doing. I will stick to buying it.

I don't use it after about 6 months and I store mine in a climate controlled garage.

Lol we have nine year old 25% that was in a non temp controlled garage in Canada, and it was never opened. We opened it this summer and it runs great.

I mix my own, but only because I can't buy 25%. I buy a gallon of 30 and 20 then mix 50/50 in spare jugs.

However, I wouldn't mix different brand fuels. I run byron race fuel.

i made the mistake of buying 4 gal of 100% nitro. i have had it for 8 mo ill find out how long it will last, ill let you know in one year.

I'm sure it would prob be fine. I buy it a gallon at a time cause the hobby shop is only a few miles from me. It's not worth messing up my nitro engines to use old fuel so if it's more than 6 months old I toss it and buy a fresh gallon. My lhs don't hold it on there shelf but 6 months also is what he told me but I'm sure if it's unopened it would be fine to sit for a year or so. I really don't know what the shelf life is but I know how long I hold it and that I wouldn't take the chance after a certain amount of time of it sitting.
