i just wanted to let you know of a couple of part i had problems with
1)3 racing carbon fiber chassis the front aluminum brace broke after a minor crash, i say minor because i was in my living room it breaks at the point where the screws go in very thin there!!
2)gpm turn buckles titanimum these are also very thin and i hit my foot at a low rate of speed and it did not bend it just snapped
3)when purchasing aluminum hop ups be sure sure to try to stick to the same brand on the front steering spindles,c-hub,arms etc. due to the fact that i bought diffrent brands and they dont fit each other very well
just thought i'd share this experiance with you all so you dont have to learn the hard way like i did!!!POWER ON!!!

Well me personally I don't care for aluminum at all, If it ain't carbon fiber or graphite I don't use it. And that kind of thing will happen with CNC parts from diffrent makers, due to the fact that they don't all design to the exact same specs. Most of them redesign the part slightly.

3R, like GPM, uses low-grade aluminum. I believe it's plain 6061. I strongly suggest you get the CF upper chassis brace that 3R sells. It strengthens the chassis right were it needs it. I beat the snot out of mine with no problems. Pic here:

Basically, GPM stuff is crap. They not only use low-grade aluminum, but they also use low-grade titanium. I got the GPM Ti turnbuckles while I was waiting for Losi to release theirs and they died quickly. They sucked so bad that I switched back to the stock steel ones until Losi released theirs. :)

Dynamite and GH both use good aluminum: 6061 T6. Not as good as 7075 of course, but fine none the less. I had no problems with the Dynamite hub carriers and steering blocks. I don't recommend aluminum a-arms as it just adds unnecessary unsprung weight. The stock a-arms are so cheap and they're very durable (in my experience).

In the end, the best setup I found was only upgrade key parts to aluminum or CF. Another pic of the setup I settled on that worked brilliantly:

I doubt any of the Chinese use 6061 aluminum. Its not readily available there, so most use the pot metal they can get easily. That is why your GPM stuff snapped.
