I will be picking up my Mini T tonight from the lhs.
The short list of upgrades are:
Mamba 6800
2 and 3 cell lipo packs
Lipo charger
Lunsford clear gear cover
Losi Al shock set
Hitec HFS-03MM FM RX (since I have the Aggressor CRX FM TX)
Ball diff

Trinity metal pinon? I hear that the stock pinion will not hold up to the Mamba's power.

This is my first Mini T, first electric rc for that matter. Is there a critical component that I'm missing to get started? Recommendations would be appreciated.

Dean's Plugs! Best plugs out. Also I suggest picking up a bearing set for the wheels and tranny, the bushings really hold it back. Also not nessasary but I really liked converting to hex screws from Hex heads. The small phillips get stripped pretty easily.

One question. If you're replacing the stock receiver and ESC, won't you need to replace the steering servo since the stock steering servo is essentially wired into the stock elecronics and won't just plug into a regular reciever????

Picked up the Hitec HS-85BB servo ( I had left that out Candyman ), Losi 8 bearing set, mip cvds, upgraded slipper, 2 Kodam 1500 3 cell lipo packs, ball diff, Al Losi shock set, Losi Hitec servo saver and the 6800 Mamba. I may have left something out.

I ordered the Dynamite Vision Peak Ultra AC/DC Lipo/Peak charger, Hitec 03MM RX, a Trinity steel pinion set and an RC18 that was not in stock. I forgot to buy the electrical plugs and turnbuckles, they did offer them to me.

I'm wondering if I should order the adapter and the metal spur gear? Anyone know something about this one?

Sure enough Ed, sold the Mute last week and the cash was burning a hole through my pocket.

I think that sounds good so far. I would just make sure that the drivetrain can handle the brushless. I don't have experience with a BL setup, but I would question the ability of the plastic spur/pinion to hold up. If you're going to use the metal pinion, I'd be inclined to use the metal spur. To me, it sounds like the same kind of theory as when you put a big block in a T-Maxx. And that has been known to shred the plastic tranny gears quite easily....
