Hi guys, I'm brand new to R/C (other than cheap Wal-Mart style electrics), but I'm really getting into it.

I'm seriously thinking about building a track at my house; for myself and friends to play with first, but possibly make it a real track in the future because there are none close to me that I know of.

Can anyone suggest where I can find information and ideas first for building the track, and then for getting it up to par to actually hold races. Even just a site with lots of good pictures would be a great start.

I have around 20 acres to play with, but they are all currently wooded. So I've got the room, now I need some ideas.

Thanks for any help.

If you have access to 20 acres and also have equipment like a bobcat or backhoe with frontloader you can build a sweet one on just 1/2 of 1 of those acres...It just takes an good imagination to do it ..haybales,,,8" round dia PVC drainage pipe with concrete spikes works good at outlining a course;;-so do old tires.....caution tape and orange construction netting cut down to 18" high works good too...You can go on u tube for track ideas between professional and homemade to work a culmination of them into 1 design or you can make a few different type tracks...The best tracks are the ones that you plan/build and enjoy....Good luck and take vids

Well, the land I have, the equipment I can borrow/use; but the other stuff, I have little $ to put toward so I will have to get creative.

Go for it man it may turn out to be the best thing you ever did....I've made the trekk 8 hours from here in NY to travel to NC to ride the farmland MX tracks there and most seem to do good business and the price of an allday ride is by far affordable and worth every penny...Good Luck
