Its so small that fits in nicely. I used a tank off ebay for $12 with mounts. Although its only 75oz I still like how clean it looks..

In the radio box, I cut the bottom out when I cut the steering servo mount out. I then put the steering servo in the thottle servo location, upside down.

I made a custom battery under my tranny but most people do the sicj battery relocation mod.

Now for the throttle I made my TVPs with the servo mounts on the side where the tank used to be. Here is how iCow did his.

Here is mine opened up. See where I drilled my mounts.. That was a guess that worked..

Heres it installed in there.

Here is it with the cover on.

That is my reciver on the side of the tank above the steering servo sitting in a HPI reciver cover. part # 9076 (large black) fits stock recivers and 9073 (midium black) fits my hitec reciver.

I then cut the top as needed. Just plain old cut and fit.. takes a little time if you want it to look clean.

Looks good skip, since you have so much free time I'll have to hook up with you and do some bashing.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Very nice Skip. I am very impressed with the Mod. THis maybe e new thing for racers or even bashers to help protect the tank! Great Idea Skip!

That thing is simply BEAUTIFUL!!! After I go thru my learning curve on my basher, I want to try something nice. Damn, you do nice work. Btw, you get credit for me wanting to take mine to the chop-saw...hee hee, I've always loved to cut and paste!

SweetD.. Yea not really the free time I wanted but maybe something good will come of it..

jon2.. Thanks bud but I can't take credit for this.. I saw iCow do the mid tank with the ofna buggy tank in the radio box and I loved the looks so I did it with my twisted thinking...

Super... Thanks man.. I have a lot of time into this thing.. Never really did anything with it. Kinda scared.. but I wount just let it sit there.. lol

New Era upper arms for t-maxx length shocks and Unlimited Engineering SuperMaxx shocks (OFNA 9.5 rear(i think) buggy shocks).

Really good and solid combo. I have run 6 gallons of gas through my savage and have beat the living crap out of it with almost no shock damage... I broke a disk once, but it was from about 15 feet in the air into the side of a hill at WOT. Something had to give. I was running 65weight oil.

I'm now running 30 weight with mild springs. A lot more cushy, but much over 8-10 feet high really makes it bottom out.

your right it is 125cc... good looking out. Thats not to much smaller than the stock tank..

I don't know what stock is... 150cc? All I've had was a maxx and I only ran the stock tank on my savage for 1 outing and hated the leaning effect, so I made a couple brackets and slapped this thing on.

pretty sure the stock tank is 175cc.. i could be wrong though.

looks good bud.. I think you would see better performance if you could get thet tank down a little.. The higher up it is the more top heavy the truck will be.. Those vertigo race this TVPs?

na rock concept (spelling sorry ) i did want to put it a little lower but where it is i can still get every thing in where it should go (except the throttle brake servo of course)

Ah ok cool..

So how do you like the RC TVPs?

Are those TVP's Powder coated or anodized? I am thinking of getting mine powder coated as well as my roll bar. What shocks are you using? I have a similar set up with the Nova Towers too. Seems that my savage shocks may be a bit long. Nice looking rig though!

yes they are powder coated and i havn't really tryed them out yet but they feel good in the yard :)
