mid range sputter losi 3.4

My 810 goes either haul ass or sputter when under power. I am trying to get used to the steering and power control so I am starting out slow trying to get the buggy moving at a steady speed and slightly go faster as i gain confidence. BUT it sputters at mid range, and then too much all wheels break loose. My control power band is very narrow. any one know how to tune for mid range to make it more drivable? ionly have two screws hi and lo, and I have tried tuning

a spring holds the pipe to the cylinder

If you were to get a longer header it would shift the powerband down a little which would make the mid range a little more smooth.
