um... ok. I don't seem to have Microsoft Paint. I'm runnin Windows XP but either it's not there or I can't find it. if I have it it's not where it usually is. Someone help please!!!

Should be in the start menu programs under accessories.

If you can't find the shortcut, or it was accidently removed, on my XP professional machine, the executable is located here
C : \WINDOWS\System32\mspaint.exe

I had to put spaces in the C : \, otherwise, it did this c:\

If it's still there, just go there, right click on it, then in the send to, click on the "Send Shortcut to DeskTop".

If you missing the .exe, I can zip mine up and send it to you. Don't know if it will work that easily, but let me know. It's a small file. Only about 300k.

*edit* You may or may not need your Windows XP CD or recovery CD from your computer manufacturer to complete this. Only insert the CD if prompted to do so.

Click on Start, go to control panel and click on add or remove programs. When that window opens, you will see on the left side "add or remove windows components." Click on it and wait for the next window to open. When it does, the window will show "accessories and utilities" as the first choice. If the check box is gray, uncheck that check box and recheck it. The check box should now be white and the size should be 18.0MB. Click next and it will install paint along with anything else that was left out. When it is done, just click finish. You should then be able to go to start, programs, accessories and find paint.

You can also get it from their site. Look for updates or addons. You'll also find the microsoft games there. Solitaire, Minesweeper etc.
