No more endorsements? Oh hell no. I'm sure Oreo's, Orville Redenbacher, Funions and Peeps are falling all over themselves to get at him.

lmao!!!! no doubt!!!

He says he will change how he handles things......uh.....does that mean he won't allow himself to be photographed in that situation again?

I'm pretty sure he's already cutting a deal with Hostess Twinkies. :mex::smoke:

hes gonna be in the next weed smoking movie. my favorites are Strange wilderness and Grandma's Boy.

I just finished watching Super High Me.

So he gets or used to get high? Most of us have at one point. Big deal, the media sucks sometimes! Whoever took the photo and let it get to the media is the P.O.S!

That poor bastard.... You can't hide from the MEDIA these days...
They really need to remember that he's only 23... Let him him experience life for christs sake..

Absolutely.

Isn't it interesting how our society tends to put athelete on a pedestal and expect them to be godly.. but we turn around and hear about the local cop that got his 2nd DUI and it barely makes the local news.

If he was using steroids that would be a big mistake worthy of losing endorsements and public shame, but weed? After all his work he deserves a bong hit and a bag of double stuff oreos!
Just about every pro athlete is on a huge regime of roids.... they very rarely get a slap on the wrist.
Disclaimer;Kids I am not in anyway saying that it is OK to smoke weed. I'd be all over my kids if I caught them. After they move out and they are adults....it's their choice.
I myself have not touched the stuff in 10+ years. Not worth it.

See? There's the money shot. Nabisco could make millions off of it! They go together like....well.....pot and Oreo's.

I'm 28 years old and quite honestly I don't see what the big deal is with smoking a little pot every once in a while. IMO it's no different than going to the local pub and having a few beers with your buddies while you watch the Sunday game. I quit smoking for two reasons. One, random drug tests at work. I make a nice middle class wage and I simply can't risk it. Two, When I got married my life changed and with it my role in society. I have two children to whom I'm responsible to be a role model for. I still don't think there's anything wrong with getting high every once in a while but bottom line is that it's illegal and I certainly cannot partake in illegal activities while being a responsible parent.

Well said my friend.

I like you am now a parent, and with that comes certain responsibilities, and moral obligations. I took a vow that as a roll model for my kids, I cannot and will not let them down.

You guys are totally missing the point and why it's a big deal for Michael. While some of you might want to praise him or see no problems with it, none of you are being paid millions of dollars to represent a company.

These companies are paying millions of dollars for someone and expect him to be a good role model and rightfully so, if I paid someone that kind of money I wouldn't be looking for some junky to spend it on.

While some people think it's no big deal just as many think it is and companies have to keep that in mind. Furthermore smoking pot is illegal, period. Who cares what you think or believe, it's illegal end of story. That said doing it anyway is anything but being a good role model or a good spokes person for a company.

Keep in mind this is also his second strike against him, the DUI after him winning all his medals was his first. This to me is more serious then the pot and I dare anyone to take up that argument that drinking while driving isn't a big deal... right after they lose a close friend or family member to a drunk behind the wheel.

You're right Woodie. I think we get caught up in the fantasy that we all deserve to experience life. However, not everybody puts them in the position to do that with as much freedom. I don't think it's a big deal (for most people). However, just as I was responsible for making decisions due to changes in my lifestyle so is he. He is a celebrity athelete within the spotlight of the media and that type of publicity is a sign that it's time to make some changes. Obviously that has not occured to him or maybe he thought he could get away with it "on the side" without the people getting wind of it. It would be the same thing if I continued to smoke pot "as long as it's not around my kids". I do not agree with that mindset though. He has made some major blunders since the olympics and they are going to start taking their toll, and all due to his poor decisions.
