mgt wont idle?

i have a 4.60 mgt that wont idle. any suggestions? I've replaced all the lines, new glow plug,and i can't figure it out.

Did you mess with the needles? Probably just need to set them.

It could be a air leak to. Did you seal your back plat with RTV silicon. If not you may want to.

mgt wont idle

it is not new, a man gave me the truck beleive it or not,it wont idle unless you give it gas i also noticed the carb pulls out very easy is it suppose to do this? i have tore down the engine and cleaned it good it runs excellent just wont idle and i really dont know how to adjust the needles please help!

If your saying the carb pulls off easy then theres your problem. You most likly have a air leak there. Put it on make shure its down all the way then tighten up the little nut on the sid of the engine next to the barle.

if it idles when you give it gas, is it enough gas to make it move, if it isnt you need to set your idle screw

No problem man. Air leaks can be the cause of many head aches. I've had my share especialy when I got my revo 2.5 but now every time I get a new mill I make shure to seal her up.
