MGT setups and pics.

If you have a MGT, please list your hopups, your setups, and post pics if you like.

My MGT :

Fantom Works natural finish torque pipe
AE side mount header
JR rs310 Rx for use with my XS3pro.
FOC (forward only conversion)
Red/Gold spring combination on each corner.
Losi Zombie Maxx tires on RPM Titan rims.
2300 mah Rx pack from onlybatterypacks.com


Replaced parts :

2 screws for steering cranks.. (i haven't figured out how i lost these, they are under the radio tray)
Had to bend back turnbuckles in the rear.
Front skid (bent up.. i think the impact that caused this caused the screw loss)
1 engine mount screw (new set of screws on the way)
I somehow broke the custom made pipe mount. I will have to bend out a new one.

Future upgrades :

I have 4 copper springs on the way. The red/gold combo is nice, but I am going to change it to red/copper due to the lost ground clearance with the smaller tires.. bottoming out too much from jumps.
Mach .26 is going to be on the way soon.. I can't wait for this...
Another new rollbar is coming.. I have bent up the first and second ones too bad. Somebody said take if off, but I think it is doing its job..
New body.. I want another stocker, and a crowdpleaser 2.0.

When he got his I had just got my buggy and didn't want to go the MT route. Now I have a hotbodies LSP and wouldn't look back unless I wanted to get a bashing rig. If that were the case I'd definatly get the MGT!

He got his setup from Richard Saxton (don't quote me on this) it was the setup used at the Dirt Nitro challenge in '04

i have one but its all stock but for the imaxx jumbo maxx 1/5 monster tires and a really nice stock blown up motor and a hummer body but its just a beater/basher j have other trucks i race with

I just got a mach .26 for it (not yet started) and some Maxximizer offset 75 (or something like that) rims and a new set of zombie maxx tires for it.

I couldn't list everything that was done to mine for 3 reasons.
1. It was done over the course of almost 2 years, and my memory sux.
2. It's 2:30 in the morning and I just got up for work.
3. I'm a little wacked out on pain pills.

The only thing stock is the chassis, and diffs.
Forward only conversion
Robo brakes
aluminum shock towers
Now (not in pic) Power stroke shocks
New era aluminum skids
New era roll bar
JR digital servos
23mm hex conversion
RPM arms...
And so on.
The list would be long if I could remember.
The collari is gone and replaced with the Ofna Picco .27

That is a nice truck!!! It looks like you have a little more money in that beast that I ever plan to put into mine. I haven't had any issues with the a-arms yet, but if I do I will be switching over to the rpm ones.
Do you think the rpm a-arms prevent breakage elsewhere??

I beat my truck something terrible.
Never really broke anything other then stripping the screws out of the diff case.
I did a top speed jump and stalled in the air, landing on the wheelie bar, ripping the diff case screws out.
That was the only thing bad to happen.

Man, I wish I could see that thing run.

The last thing to "break" was the bumper screw broke off in the brace. I didn't have the screw to replace it (I tried to order it and tower didn't have it) so I used a similar screw. I am going to take it easy on the jumps until I get the proper ones.

lately.. and since the FOC and smaller tires, my jumps have been pretty flat and ST like.

Finally, here is my truck...

And my work area...

The blue MGT is my cousins. I have another MGT on the way that I bought used from a guy that is coming with HPI dirtbones, Proline 40 series bowties, and stock tires/rims. It also has the proline powerstroke shocks, FOC, and 2 or 3 bags of extras all for 200 bucks. hahaha Can't beat that.

i just hav a quik question about the mgt exhaust mine is like under the truk and that dude has a side exhaust.which is better?

With the side exhaust it allows you to run a different exhaust. It also keeps your supension clean.
