Breakin day problems...

First off.. the truck was faster than i thought. Man it was a lot of fun to drive.

First problem.. mine kept cutting off with braking. I leaned out the idle speed screw.. problem solved.

Second problem.. my roommates truck was running great and i accidently hit his back tire and broke the hub carrier.. dangit... There isn't a LHS nearby that carries mgt stuff, so i was wondering if one of my tmaxx hub carriers would work. I know it will not be as durable, but I was wondering if it would run on it for now. I do think the hobby shop has the rpm ones for the tmaxx, and I did read that those would work on the MGT. So i might pick up a couple of those for now.

Third problem..
the shaft start cup that sticks out of the back of the motor is gone. I don't know whrere it is or how it happened, but it is gone. WTF??? has this ever happened to any of you?? there is a rod about a 1/2 inch log sticking out of the back of the motor. is that right??

Fourth problem.. I think some guy got sick of hearing the trucks run and power mike'd a really powerful cb.. because my tmaxx and mgt when crazy and stuck out at WOT.
the mgt turned over (thank god) and the tires ballooned out. So my motor was running wide open for about 30 secs.. do you guys think this is going to be a problem??

thanks,
adrian

I believe the t-maxx hubs will work. The engine revving at full throttle for about 30 seconds may be a problem...

what leads you to belive somebody got pissed? did someone voice complaint while you were running?

Your carb is shutting close here. With the engine off, adjust your iddle screw on the carb while the Brake is applied. check to see that when you open it it isn't openrd too far. If it is your LSN may need to be adjusted

I would just replace it with RPM ones. They are for TMaxx's but wiill be better for you in the long run. You will need to get shims for it and some different hardware to allow the steering TB's

Never happened to me. Sucks as the only thing I know is to get a new Pull start. They are not cheap with the dual start.

The begeinning is cinfusing so please re type it. I know that I have had mine go WOT from a low RX battery and no Failsafe . The TRS was taken off for assembly reasons and wasn't placed back on. My screw up. But not for 30 sec. Just like 10.

What I meant in the last part was both of my trucks went crazy at the same time. WOT for about 30 seconds (give or take 15, it was pretty crazy to see two trucks go crazy like that at the same time). I was near a Fire Dept., and no, no one complained. I was just guessing that someone with a CB or some kindof radio equipment either drove by, or was trying to mess with us.

I just do it during the day or now while the sun is up. Spring is cool and so will summer be. Long summer nights

I found out that I can just get the starter coupling (that is the name) for $7.59.
So I am not worried about this.
I am worried about the engine running WOT.
What is the best way to tell if I did any damage to the engine. (i do not want to take the enging apart!! I do not have alot of experience here, and I don't want to start until the engine needs rebuilding.

Please help again!!

Turn the flyhwheel ans see if your compression feels loose or weak. Best way is to inspect the Piston and Sleeve.

compression seems tight still, but my roommate's is a little tighter than mine.

how many more gallons can i expect to get through this thing?

Well no two engines are the same. I would say just make sure you let it cool at Bottom dead center always and use ARO after each run.
