Looks nice. Alloy arms look nice and can be really tough, but they are also hard on everything they are bolted to. A set of RPM arms would flex when smacking into something and more than likely wouldn't break a pivot ball off.

I do like how that alloy stuff looks though.

yah mee too I'm doing it to my tmaxx or savage after i get it the only thing that breaks on this truck are those balls thow do you guys know of a better set?

What are you running now? Stock? Are they the same as t-maxx or revo balls? I know they are similar to t-maxx as the RPM carriers for a MGT or maxx are the same I believe. Or at least I believe they used to be with the older maxx.

Probably your best bet is to get RPM arms... hate to say it, but with any pillow ball, your limited to a 5mm threaded rod taking all of the punishment. Each thread is a weak spot.

They make those pivot balls in titanium and unobtainium too.....I have the titanium ones.....Wheres the front shock spring? You can fix that body crack with self stick foil tape as a backer and med tire glue in the crack to rejoin it..Good Luck

Unobtainium... isn't that what X-Men Wolverine's skeletal grafting was made of? Or was that from the movie "the core" where the guy from Gone In Sixty Seconds (Delroy Lindo) made a drilling craft out of it and the more pressure and heat put on it, the stronger the molecular bonds of the material became...

Hmmm...

Heres the pivot balls I have in my MGT ,Revo and both T Maxxes along with delrin outer bushings......

Your right though Olds it was a metalluggical substance quoted in a movie and its almost as indestructable in real life. They make watches out of it also....

Sorry, wolverine had adamantium on his bones.

The associated shafts just appear to be TiNi coated to promote long surface life.

Kind of surprised that lunsford doesn't make some for it. Although, a buddy of mine bought lunsford for the lower bulkhead screws on his muggy as he was constantly shearing them off due to horrible landings. The lunsford screws sheared right off as well. Not sure what titanium's shear strength is compared to steel. I do know it's less likely to bend.

Any idea what brand those are in the ebay link?

the front shock is an absorber there is only 1 shock with a spring al the way around on each arm.

Say wha? You mean the Pro-Line by-pass shocks you have in the front? A shock IS an ABSORBER there guru keep focused! It is called a shock absorber......so yes you have them on all four corners; I would hope. However knowing you...I am not so sure. But the Pro-Line by-pass shocks do not have springs you are correct.

Its in reference to the fact I thought he was missing a spring in his suspension setup until I saw a few racing T-Maxxes and they look the same with the shock and damper design.....I tried something a little different by using good aluminum shocks on all 4 corners and using the stock shocks for the inners..The Big Maxx Big Block is sticking to the track alot better now but its not good for jumping anymore....so I guess its time to make a custom jumping only T Maxx to add to the collection....The MGT is for hillclimbing and tug-of-wars.....

Oh, gotcha.

The pro-line shock without the spring was a progressive bypass shock. It had channels in it that as the piston moved in the shock would progressively get more resistant, but on the way down, it was less resistant if I remember correctly. Too bad pro-line didn't make a set for my savage... they were a great design.
