ok i just bought a new all metal geared servo off ebay and seen the same 1 in RCU and this guy claims it has 155oz of torque .here are the specs for it and i just can not seem to ge tthe right formula to convert it ,i keep coming up 388 ounces ,thast not possible for a standard servo

here are the specs
MG995 SPECIFICATIONS
Size: 40.6mm*19.8mm*37.8mm
Weight: 49.2gr
Speed: .2sec (6V)
Torque: 11Kg/cm (6V)
Voltage: 4.8V~7.2V
now i got a helluva deal on this thing even if 12 bucks + 5 s/h NIP
here is the ebay # 6023453800
just wanna know what the torque rating is on it
thank you

I am not sure but I did a little math I it is about 152(I think)

After using this formula : OZ of a servo you know = kg of the same servo
X (Oz of your servo) Kg of your servo

I used this servo http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXUZ89&P=ML

133 = 9.6
----- -----
X = 11

then 133 X 11 / 9.6 =X
X~ 152

You can try this would differrent servos and you will get about the same anwser.

lol..
then it has that high of torque then ?
from reading what the gentleman from RCU wrote he said it translates to 9.5lb ,i just think it would make a decent servo esp for the price

It sounds like a great servo... for that price.... Just remember you gwt what you pay for.
I never heard of TowPro and it is comming from AUS? Does the guy on RCU speak high of it.?

I'm tired and I ended up converting 131.31 to 9.6kg... Like I said, I'm an idiot.

Yeah, I think so. With 133.31/9.6 = 13.67825oz = 1kg
So, 13.67825*11 = 150.459375 oz

they said that these servo's are bought by other brand name companies and rebadged with there names on ,it says in there add if i you want ot know who uses these then just ask ,they can not say it on the add ,so i did and all i need ot do now is wait for a responce and i will psot it when i get the answer
1 more thing there is another guy selling the same servo over there and asking 24.99 plus shipping for them lol
good profit

16oz is a pound.... if some one weighs say 200 lbs that would make them according to your calculations like 240kg.. so 13oz can't equal a kg... I'm pretty sure the measurement is about lb's/2.2 and you get around what kg it should be. so 200lb ~= 90kg
also... you are comparing the wrong units. its oz/in of torque or lb/ft of torque.. phsyics are a bitch. i dont even think you are supposed to technically compare pounds to kg as a pound takes in gravity and kg is a mass.

I am not sure what you mean arrow.. but I am sure 152 is the anwser also I think you are missing that it goes from kg/ cm to oz/ in I am sure that has a factor. Plus if you take the Oz and / it by the KG you will get ~13

Ok guys here is a link to covert anything
http://www.onlineconversion.com/forum/forum_1023483179.htm
Just click home on the bar and pick your conversion. here is what I come up with for the specs listed
11 kilogram = 388.0135814 ounce now that is still 388oz cm not ozin
1 centimeter = 0.3937008 inch = 2.5cm in one inch
Now take 2.5 cm in one inch so 388/2.5=155.2ozin

There you go.

Boy that was fun lol

Bill

i got this servo this morning in the mail ,and it seems aswsume ,it will turn my Big Joe's on a vinyl card table lock to lock with all the weight of the savage on it ,and it is digital also .
and like i said for 17 bucks shipped and being new is a good deal i think
