I was wondering if I would have to change anything on my Savage to put on a METAL SPUR GEAR cuz I keep wearing out the plastic ones?? And I'm pretty sure that I meshed it right, part of it was melted, I used the instuctions you guys gave me about the strip of the bag. So I'm thinking about getting a metal one and I just wanted to know if i had to change anything to be able to put it on. Thanks, Koobs :boxing:

Just make sure you get a better clutch bell. The ones that HPI makes can't handle running against steel spurs.

I tried it and the teeth on the cb were gone within one tank of fuel.

OFNA hardened cb's work a lot better.

olds info on clutch bells would be the only thing. thats too bad, I'm STILL on my same 49t plastic spur gear with a wasp .26 on 30% nitro, i keep my slipper locked....still going good. (knock)
