Hi I'm upgrading my Revo 3.3 with a ofna .26 picco red dot and I have read a lot of forms that say u need to put metal gears in the transmission. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a metal gear set that allows me to keep reverse or if I would have to have them custom made and if so what ones would I need? Thanks

Robinson racing has all the gears u need including reverse hot racing also makes a set but you can't go wrong with robinson racing no need for custom

Was wondering if you could post a link to the RR set you are referring to?? I have looked on there for my Revo as well, and can't find any that aren't forward only conversions. We have also been to the hobby stores here who all say there are no steel reverse gears for the Revo....if you could post a link that would be awesome.

Well, I only run the top/input shaft currently as RRP steel with my BB revo. Seems to hold up fine. Mine is plastic FOC though and I"m running a pretty weak engine, XTM24.7. Just bought a used SH28 that I'll be caring for and installing.

I don't see a reverse set either for RRP:

Also didn't see it on hotracing.

Thank u all for your posts I looked on rrp website and I have talked to a few ppl that put metal gears in for the forward motion and left the reverse one plastic and just said to make sure not to punch it in reverse.
