i can mesh the gears so that they are all right to just drive around but when i start jumping it i start striping spur gears.
i also have a problem with the spur going from side to side a bit is this normal i just can't get them lined up.

To set the mesh just stick a piece of regualr computer paper inbetween the CB and the Spur, push, and tighten.

If you start stripping them when you jump your slipper clutch may be too tight. Loosen it up a bit and see how that goes. On my old savage the spur was able to slide in and out of the tranny just a bit, but it shouldin't slide back and forth at all.

Also, when you think you have your mesh set correctly, put some white out on the teeth of the spur. Make a pass of about 60 feet and check the wear pattern on the spur. If it's completely gone, your mesh is a bit tight. If 1/2 or more is left in the teeth, you're too loose. What you're looking for is about 1/8 of the tooth still ahving some white out left on it in the bottom of the tooth.

lock tite the motor bolts. i've stripped 7 spurs since i had this thing. from jumpoing my 5 foot sand pile. I'm prolly about to strip another today.
