Good or crap? I saw it was rated at 1.6 hp and like 34,500 rpm. Let's have some input

friend of mine had one..run really well, had it in a rc10gt..good power for the price..but they go through pull starts like crazy..but if you use non pull then disregard..

but as far as the hp rating..another friend of mine had a mugen mt 12 and the megatech would not even come close to keeping up with it

Thanks for the input. I was kinda suspect of that power claim. Hey, manufacturers wouldn't lie about power output would they? (Any Mustang Cobra 4.6L owners in here?)

I am the other friend biggy is talking about and I still have that MT 12 (listed in For Sale section on this site)and a Megatech 16 on an RC10GT. You will NOT beat the mugen for the price. If you want more info drop me line. [email protected]

I think I'm just going to stick with my HPI .15SS. I saw my buddy run his Q series .16 on his TMaxx and was not impressed. It never got up there and screamed like I expected it would. Another buddy of mine just got a used TMaxx with the 2.5 and.... :OMG: .... OMG! That thing sounds like it's going to come apart. He was hitting RPMs that I don't hear too often. Impressed me. I just wonder how long it will last

the megatech .16 does have some power to it, and its cheap in price. one thing though is ur never sure if ur gona get a good one or a bad one. i know guys that have had them and they have been a pain to tune, and constantly overheating. But also there are guys that get lucky and get a good one that holds a tune. i got a crappy one and the thing wouldnt hold a tune so i took a carb from a worn out OS .12 CV-X i think its a OS #10 carb and put the in place of the megatech .16 carb and i never had a tuning problem after that and it never over heated.

later
