i need a 2 speed for a mbx 4:madface:

I never heard of a 2 speed 1/8 buggy but if Mugen makes the part I bet FlyinRazorBack will know as he is the resident Mugen buggy expert. Can I ask why you want a 2 speed on a buggy? Does your dirt track have really long straights?:redbuggy:

Good luck working that out. You will need to do some heavy modding I can tell you that much.

In an Inferno, you can toss a Landmax 2spd, or perhaps Mad-Force 3spd - sacrificing the center diff - with a few mods. You could try those options, but its nothing definate.

Ofna also make 2spd units for their older 1/8 buggies, which could be options too.

Just curious - what version of the X4 are you running (reg. X4, X4RR, X4XR) and what engine are you using? A new engine, new clutch, or higher gearing might be a better way to get more speed than trying to get 2spd's in there. Having multiple gears will limit you offroad like nothing else.

well its not for me its for a friend how has one he wants it to go faster

is there anything he can do to make it faster

Did you read my questions?

Which MBX4 does he have?
What engine is he running currently?
Clutch setup?
Gearing?
What pipe/manifold?

A new engine will make anything faster, and a good clutch setup will certainly help milk the max out of any motor. A good exhaust system is key, and finally you can resort to gearing to milk a few more k's on top or a bit quicker acceleration.

How much money is he willing to burn?
