Mayhem truggy???

Interesting. Does make sense since all the other buggy makers are coming out with truggys. Not known when it comes out though.......and I would love to see if they are using longer arms or extenders.

I have been wanting a truggy for a while. Not a bad price for one just coming out. And the fact that Horizon is pretty high.
Front page of their website says it is due out late June. Pretty good pic of it. Didn't see that yesterday. Starting the "big tease" with it I guess. Give us just enough info to keep us interested till it comes out.

Only place I have seen any info is Horizon Hobbies. Even did a search for Sportwerks. Ended up back on Horizon's site. Only thing I have read so far was it was a cheap conversion of their buggy. Not good.

thats what i was reading/hearing. based entirely off their buggy. some will say thats good, but i'm not sure yet.

I own a mayhem and it is build rock solid...can't see why this conversion would be a bad thing. I guess u guys just dont like the fact that is originated from a buggy?

I myself am a Mayhem lover, but a strait conversion wouldnt be as good as a "truggy" built from ground up to be that way. I wont say the Mayhem ist good cause I'll probally get one just cause. I really like Truggy style MT's. I have a Hot bodies lightning GT and an XTM Mammoth both are truggy style and they are great at the track and for just out bashing. But I always seem to end the day runnin my Mayhem.

I like the fact that it originated from a buggy. If they did a good job with it. The GS SUT was based off their buggy. I drooled over the RTR for some time. But I have read some bad things about it. Haven't been around one, so I can't give an opinion. :shrug:

The main thing is the long arms and the long chassis. With the long chassis/arms you are much more stable then a buggy built truggy. The wheel extenders stress the axles, amrs, and axle carriers. With long arms you don't have the added stress on the alxe carriers, arms, and or the alxes. And with a purpose built truggy you don't have to have such an extreme geering nightmare. My truggy has a 14t cb and a 50t spur. And I'm still breaking loose all the time. When you build a truggy from a buggy you have to go to a 60+ tooth cb. Talk to plaid about the gearing problems he has had with his mewtant maxxxx.

thats what i was wondering...if the new mayhem truggy has a longer arms set up or extended like what ofna put out.

that what i was referring to it being built off a buggy chassis....
