Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone has tried to take their nitro toys as carry-on luggage. I travel a-lot and wanted to take my truck but when I called TSA they said Nitro-wha??? Just curious if anyone has tried this.

I think you can bring the car, but I think bringing the actual nitro fuel is not allowed.

If you do transport it, you might want to clean up all the nitro on it so it can get through luggage check.

Probably wont let you, because of residual flamable materials. I went on a hunting trip in colorado, and they held up all of my luggage because it had GSR on it from the hunt. Now that i think about it, i still never got that bag back, and it was almost 2 years ago.

well that's pretty much what I would expect. I just wanted to know if anyone tried it and what the results were.

yeah, i was gonna say ... you can try it, but you would probably have to mail it back to your house from the airport.

well maybe i'll get brave and let ya all know what happens. I don't plan on taking fuel with me because I know that would not go over well, but the rest should be ok as long as there is not any residue on it. Is there anyway to clean out the tank and fuel lines?

I'm 99% sure, that if it has ever been run it will not make it in the checked baggage either. Like I said, have a back up plan. You would be much better off shipping it to your destination.
