Ditto to Skymaxx's comments. I'll add one more critical thing.
There's a quick but steep learning curve to driving Nitro R/C's. I broke more stuff in the first two weeks of driving my very first Nitro R/C (T-Maxx) than I have in the last YEAR of driving it.
Take it EASY at first...don't try any jumping at first. Practice braking, turning and braking, etc., gradually learn the limits of yourself and the machine. Do this in a wide open area! Not the street in front of your house. Curbs, mailboxes and parked (sometimes moving ones too) cars are the biggest offenders to newbie Nitro R/C drivers!
Don't try to show off with it until you've gotten the hang of it either...nothing like a brand new T-Maxx, just broken in, slamming into a mailbox and disentegrating before your eyes just because you had to show it off - major egg on your face.
I'm not saying to go out and drive like granny for weeks on end...just use a little common sense and get to know your machine before you start getting fancy with it. A T-Maxx in skilled hands is an amazing sight to see! A new T-Maxx wrapped around your mailbox is like - DOUBLE DOH!
