I just broke my 2.5 fuel tank for the second time! Anyone know of a stronger tank or suggestions on how to stop this? I just bought a roll cage for it, not shure if it will help or not, but it can't hurt.:D

Where are you breaking them? Is your rear shock/shock mount bolt making contact with it and busting it or are the legs just cracking the tank on you?

YOu can go a radical route like I did and rearrange the entire chassis to fit a different tank on it... :)

I used a 125cc OFNA buggy tank. Never busted one again after that.

The legs keep cracking after hitting jumps. I heard of putting rubber o-rings between the tank and the chassis. Ill pick up a new tank tomorrow and try that!

I don't know if the o-ring thing works, but I do know that the tank guard works. I have one on my Maxx, after busting my stock tank. After I installed it I never broke another. It should work for you. Good luck.

It must just be the luck of the crash................... I have broken damn near EVERYTHING on my 4909 , never busted the tank. No rubber o-rings, no nuttin.

I now have a roll cage, and an ASS load of aluminum. From replacing busted parts.

I have never broken a tank either aside from spilling soder on it once haha.
But if you do go with the o-rings most hobby shops have a selection of screws so you can easily find longer onese to accomidate.
Hardware stores will have them if the hobby shop doesn't.
