Maxx esc replacement.

I was running my maxx v2 today. And it just stopped. All three red lights and the greens lights are on. When I cut it on the lights turn on and it has steering but no throttle.

I’ve tried a couple batteries and it does the same thing so, I’m pretty certain it’s the esc. The thing is this truck doesn’t have a dozen packs through it. I'm still assuming it’s an esc issue. But, I’ve always been a plug and play electric rc guy. So, I figured it’d be best to ask you fellas versus just guessing based on marketing adds.

So, what say you guys, what’s a good after market esc for this truck? I’m pretty soured on the lifespan of this esc and would just as soon transition away from Traxxas esc’s if possible. Cost is an issue but, I’ll save longer if quality comes with it. Thanks.

Hobbywing Max 6, or Cobra 8.. either would be fine.
I upgraded from the max 6 to the cobra in my rig. (Only because I swapped out the maxx motor for a castle 1717 and wanted to run sensored. - my max6 was the older V3 model)

To answer your question, I recommend a Hobbywing Max6 G2 esc. I own 3 of them and they're super dependable. It will leave the door open if you ever want to go 6s without pushing any boundaries.

Holding out ok even though I’m running on 6s.. swapped the centre diff oil for 1m.. now doesn’t easily backflip from full power start anymore
